It has taken me much longer than I wanted it to to get this blog post written and posted. It’s like the carpenter who never get to work on his own house, or the landscaper who never has time to landscape his own yard. I’m the photographer who doesn’t take the time to photograph and blog about my own child in a reasonable amount of time. But that’s okay, because I’m enjoying Wyatt and if that means my house is a little more dirty or my laundry needs to be folded and put away, I’m okay with that. He’s only going to be this little once, so I’m going to enjoy every minute of it.
My mom was able to stay with us for two weeks and I was so glad to have her help. She kept the house neat, did the dishes, helped change and feed Wyatt, got the groceries, and a myriad of other things. It was nice to have a second set of hands for our photoshoot as well. It figures my child would be the fussiest newborn session I’ve done yet. We ended up doing it in two days versus one.
I had this vision for photographing Wyatt on my English saddle, however, it didn’t quite turn out like I had imagined it. I have such a huge amount of respect for those photographers who only photograph newborns and children. It’s definitely a gift and something you have to enjoy. I enjoy the newborns and kids, but it’s definitely not my calling. I am getting better though, so there is hope yet.
I hope you enjoy the pictures and I’m sure there will be lots more of Wyatt to come as he grows and gets bigger. I’ll try not to overwhelm you all with updates and pictures of the little man, although I’m a bit biased in how cute I think he is.
