I always love watching the dynamic between siblings, especially big brothers and little brothers. It’s just fascinating now some siblings totally get along and you can tell are clearly each other’s best friend.
Photographing Beck and Abram was so much fun! These two were great to work with and have totally different personalities.
Little Abram, who recently turned 1, was a little ham with the camera. I hardly had to do a thing except snap away with the camera. He stayed where we put him and just smiled at me with his big eyes.
Beck, on the other hand, was a little more stoic than his younger brother. Eventually, he warmed up to me and then it was go time!
Of course, I always love getting a few photos of the kids with mom, so I like to mention it to the parents to wear something that will coordinate with their kids clothing. I just love this picture of the three of them!
We had fun playing out in the woods, and I even took the old tub along for a few shots. The weather had been cooler and a little rainy on and off throughout the weekend. On this day, at least it wasn’t raining, but it was overcast.
Photographing kids outside, with nothing and no one else around is probably my favorite place to shoot. It eliminates distractions and allows the kids to just be themselves and really have a good time during their portrait session. I always try not to be too picky or stay in one pose for too long. It helps to keep things moving, for everyone’s sanity.
Here’s my favorites of this cute big brother, little brother session!
