Sarah choose Furman University, in Greenville, South Carolina, as the place to shoot her bridal portraits and I agreed, it is such a pretty place with a variety of areas for great bridal portraits. The weather was perfect for taking portraits, overcast and not too hot. With school just out, the campus was basically empty and we had the bridge to ourselves.
We started out at a wooden bridge, which turned out to be Sarah’s favorite location for her portrait. I have to admit, this was probably my favorite spot as well.
The Rose Garden was next area we headed. It was absolutely gorgeous! The flowers were all in bloom and there were a variety of colors, that it just felt like you were in a different place – definitely not at Furman. It can be a little tricky shooting in the Rose Garden, with all the different colors going on, but it’s such a unique place you almost have to shoot at least one or two portraits there.
Sarah accessorized her wedding dress with accents of blue jewelry, which brought out the color of her eyes, and I’m sure, were a gift from her fiance, Jeremy. Her flowers were stunning and popped with bright colors of red!
After the Rose Garden portraits, I had one more location in mind. However, when we drove over to the other side of campus, a family was picnicking beneath the very tree I had in mind. We decided we had plenty of other great portraits to choose from and wrapped up the bridal session.
Here’s a few of my favorites from Sarah’s bridal pictures at Furman University.
