I might be a little biased with this little girl. She just turned 1 and totally has her daddy’s heart . She’s her mamma’s mini-me. She lights up any room she’s in.
I wasn’t sure what being a mom to a girl would be like. I kind of had the boy thing down with Wyatt, the emotional little thing that he is. Sadie is so social and aware, she really always has been from day 1. I’m so happy that she enjoys people. Remind me I said that when she turns 16.
Sadie has the best fake laugh of any 1-year-old I’ve ever heard. She laughs because everyone else is, and it’s hilarious to witness in person.
She loves her food. Meal time and snack time are the best times in her book. Currently she eats more than her older brother. I wonder how long that will last.
She is a daddy’s girl through and through. I cease to exist when Daddy gets home. She runs up to him and cries if he doesn’t pick her up fast enough. It’s the cutest thing. ever.
The remote to the TV has been her best friend lately and she’s always walking off with it, tucked up under her little arm. It makes watching TV at night a little tricky. Thankfully, we’ve been keeping it on top the piano and she has yet to discover it.
Sadie is constantly pulling hair bows and rubber bands out of her hair, yet she hates to have the hair in her eyes.
Climbing on top of things is awesome. Figuring out how to get down is a whole ‘nother story! Talk about dramatic! Good grief. Once she’s rescued from the rocking chair back to the floor, she’s climbing right back up again.
Having a girl to photograph has been fun as well. I haven’t gone crazy with the poofy skirts and big ‘ole southern hair bows. I have thrown a little pink or purple in there to keep it feminine.
We took a few photos this week to commemorate Sadie turning 1. Here’s my favorite few. Stick around until the end to watch the slideshow of Sadie as a newborn to a big girl!
