A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing baby Pearson. He was born two week early and came into this world with red hair. I had the honor of taking family pictures prior to his arrival last year, you can see those photos here.
As with all newborns, each baby is so unique and brings such a different personality to each session. To be honest, the newborn sessions are the hardest types of sessions for me to do. I have been extremely fortunate that all the newborns I’ve taken pictures of have been so cooperative and such good babies! I know not all sessions are like that!
Pearson was a good baby and lots of fun. He was patient with me as I gently tried to persuade him to pose for me. His two older brothers, Grayson and Collin, provided lots of encouragement and even posed for my camera a bit.
The blue hat and diaper cover are compliments of Marigold Lane. You can see more examples of Sarah’s work here.
I love it when clients incorporate their own personal items into a photoshoot and this was no exception. Pearson’s dad had seen a photograph of a baby with a frog hat and mentioned it to his mother. Like every good grandma would do, she promptly crocheted a little frog hat for the session. I think it turned out adorable!
