January is typically a slower month for photographers, even those of us who live in the sunny South. I was excited to receive Gina’s phone call about a week ago, requesting some family portraits of her and her son, Halbert.
After a short phone conversation on locations that suited Gina and some outfit ideas, we met up in downtown Greer on a blistery Monday. Thank goodness the sun was out! That wind was rather harsh and seemed to just cut right through us, the warm sun tried to make up for the coldness.
Thankfully, Gina and her son were great about the cooler weather and we moved quickly through their portrait session. I informed Gina that I shoot quick, but still get a lot of different images in a short amount of time. We moved steadily from one brick wall to a wooden door to a metal staircase.
Here’s a few of my favorites from the session of mother and son, downtown Greer.
