Our family is growing again! Thank goodness it’s not because of me! I am completely happy with my three children the Lord has given me, but I am not ready by any means to have a fourth!
My sister-in-law and her husband are expecting their first baby in September. Their little girl, who is still nameless I might add, will be the 4th girl on our side of the family and the 11th grandchild! Yeah, holidays are crazy!
Rachel and I worked together on finding the right outfit for her husband, Sam. She had a dress she wanted to wear, so we just needed to find the right clothes for him and still keep him happy at the same time. I think we came out okay, although I highly doubt he will ever wear those boat shoes again!
Rachel wanted something outdoorsy for their pictures and she wanted to include their dog, a lab mix named Kona. We ended up using her brother’s property and it was a great location for their portraits.
Kona ran and ran and found about every puddle of water that was on the property. Thankfully we did her pictures towards the beginning of the session while she was still semi-clean. She ran around and had a blast smelling things and getting dirty.
We did their session in the morning, around 8 AM. The lighting was very soft and pretty during this time of day. First thing in the morning or about an hour prior to sunset are the best times for portraits.
