A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph Madison and Natalie, sisters (and also my nieces) from Florida.
We decided for the sake of everyone involved, to do the shoot in my backyard. (Not sure if I should admit that one or not, oh well, too late now).
I filled up my galvanized wash tub with warm water and set it out in the sun to stay warm, because obviously no one wants their picture taken in cold water like I did to my daughter, Sadie. (mom-of-the-year).
We started off with a few portraits of Madison, who is about nine months. She’s changed a lot since her newborn pictures! She’s a happy girl and was easy to photograph as she’s not terribly mobile just yet. We just parked her down in the grass and fired away.
Then, we moved on to Natalie, who is 2.5, and has a personality all her own! She’s definitely much more active than her younger sister! Natalie wasn’t too crazy about having to smile for pictures, but thankfully her momma knew just how to squeak a smile out of her and I was able to capture a few of them.
Once Natalie was finished with her set, she was able to run and play with Wyatt and Sadie (my two kids) in the backyard. Poor Madison wasn’t finished yet. She was the lucky one to get her pictures in the tub.
Evidently Madison loves bath time, as most kids typically do. However, she was not crazy about getting her pictures in the tub! It wasn’t her thing, which definitely had us all laughing at her misery.
Here’s my favorite of Madison’s time in the tub.
