Phillip and Adriana were married just over a year ago and I had the privilege of photographing their wedding at Willow Creek Conservatory. Not long afterwards, they received the wonderful news they were expecting a baby girl! This beautiful family serves at a Christian camp in western Wyoming, RedCliff Bible Camp. The cool thing is, these two met while serving at camp! It’s so neat to see how God works in bringing a family together.
A few weeks ago, Phil, Adriana, and their baby Autumn, were in town recruiting summer staff at a local college. I thought it would be fun to do some family portraits for them, and a text message or two later, we had a time and location set up.
I love photographing families in the great outdoors with natural light and these guys were no different. We spent a few quick minutes getting some family shots, then focused on a few daddy/daughter and mommy/daughter portraits.
I just love this photo of baby Autumn with her daddy! I love how tiny and protected she looks while he’s holding her. There is nothing quite like the special bond between a father and daughter. All I have to say is, boys, you’d better watch out, her daddy’s a big guy!
Of course, we needed some of momma and baby girl! I just love photographing mommas with their babies. There is just so much love represented between a mother and a child, in childbearing, child-raising, and care-giving. Moms give a lot to their children and a photo is a small way to capture those happy moments in life with them.
Who can resist this baby face?! She’s adorable! Baby Autumn was a trooper – even after travelling all the way from Wyoming and did a great job with her little portrait shoot!
