I’ve decided to write another blog about life behind the lens. This particular post will be a little different than the others of this sort because every single behind the lens edition I’ve written has been about the past. This post will be about the future.
Jon and I are expecting a baby boy towards the end of April! His name will be Wyatt Daniel. We choose the name Wyatt because we wanted our child to have a unique name, yet not one that’s too different and one that wasn’t hard to pronounce. We choose Daniel because Jon’s middle name is Daniel and he had an Uncle Danny who past away a couple of years ago.
Right now I am at 25 weeks and feeling great. I’ve felt great during this whole pregnancy. I haven’t thrown up or been nauseous once. There was a 4-day period when I ate breakfast a little earlier than I normally would just to settle everything, but that’s been it. I haven’t had any weird cravings. I’m not crazy hormonal. I feel exactly the same as before, just a little heavier these days.
Oh and before you ask, yes, he was planned and no, if I can help it, you won’t see any pictures of me. Glad we got that out of the way.
Here’s a picture of Wyatt at 12 weeks along, looking like a little alien.
Jon went with me to the 20 week ultrasound when we found out the sex of the baby. Neither one of us really cared one way or the other if it would be a boy or girl. Considering there are 6 grandchildren on between our two families, all of which are boys, I think the grandmas and aunts were pulling for a girl. I knew I had a 50/50 shot, but I just picked boy and stuck with it.
When the morning came to find out, it was plainly obvious we would be having a boy. Here’s another shot of Wyatt at 20 weeks, looking a little more like a baby.
So that was exciting, getting to find out the sex of the baby. Once that part was over, the technician decided to throw the 3D/4D ultrasound on and took a few more pictures for us.
Wyatt definitely has no idea what’s in store for him when he gets here. Not only will he have to adjust to his parents being myself and Jon, but his mother is a photographer. The poor child probably won’t know what my face looks like unless a camera is in front of it.
Once the little guys makes his arrival, we’ll post plenty of pictures of him!
