This is the third year Audrey has been in front of my lens and we chose the historic Campbell’s Covered Bridge in Landrum, South Carolina for her portrait session.
I absolutely love photographing Audrey and I swear she has grown about 4″ since I photographed her last spring! She and her mother, Brandi, always put together the best outfits. I feel like each time I’ve taken her portraits, the outfit always seems to fit perfectly with the location of the session. This session wasn’t any different.
Audrey’s dress was very flowy (which is always fun to photograph) and it had pops of red flowers that were highlighted by the faded red 100-year old covered bridge. Movement is always fun to play with in portraits and I think you will see that in several of these images.
Since this is the third year and not the first time we’ve worked together, I feel like Audrey is comfortable with me and I know she is always up for anything. A fellow horse-lover herself, Audrey enjoys being outside in nature, she was game for climbing up fallen trees and splashing in the water.
Don’t ever be afraid to be yourself, but don’t be afraid to branch out either. While Audrey may have preferred jeans and a t-shirt, these images of her turned out beautifully!
