This family had me at ease and laughing from the get-go. Usually that is my job, to make my clients feel at ease and laughing from the start, but this session it was the other way around. I could really see they all got along and it looked like they all had a great time when together as a family.
Audra contacted me about family portraits over the holiday season. All the siblings would be back in town and they wanted an updated family portrait.
We met at Furman University on Christmas Eve and the weather could not have been better. It was not too cold and thankfully there was not any rain. As we all know, the weather is such a huge part to outdoor photography, and I as so glad it was on our side!
The fall color scheme for everyone’s outfits photographed beautifully and they all did such a good job coordinating their look. A great portrait has colors that coordinate, not all the same, with a few prints, patterns and various textures.
All the babies had beautiful bright blue eyes, and the two older boys were so easy to photograph together. All the smiles were so genuine, and it was so easy to photograph everyone, even the adult boys! Everyone appeared to be totally at ease in front of the camera and were naturals at posing themselves. It really made my job that much more enjoyable.
I love photographing these types of sessions where families come together that have been separated by distance or time. It’s a gift I gladly give to my clients.
